So, you wish to become a Mentat?

Why?

Why do you wish to become a Mentat?

What do you hope to gain from this?

What is a Mentat?

For the purposes of this organization, we are going to define a Mentat as a person who has chosen a life of the mind, a person who wishes to see what others do not, to understand deep relationships between people, organizations, and things. One who desires most of all to understand things in both the physical world and the world of people.

If your definition differs from ours, this is fine, perhaps you can logically persuade us to change ours! If not, then we should agree to disagree, for this is our definition. Keep in mind that in this spirit, we do not wish to see anyone leave! Only those who feel the need to be rude, vulgar or insulting when dealing with their brother and sister Mentats shall be barred, all others, regardless of intellectual agreements or disagreements, shall be welcome at all times, subject to the Masters’ interpretation of their behaviors.

In the postings to follow we shall lay out a suggested course of study for the interested mentat acolyte. We welcome, truly, we relish, discussion on these topics and hope to, by this set of discussions, increase our efficacy as a Mentat as well as to increase the general body of knowledge available to Mentats, worldwide.

Generally we shall adhere to a schedule of posting one new post a week. As noted above, we hope to have a spirited, but respectful discourse amongst other Mentats and Mentats-to-be. Rude, vulgar, or insulting language shall not be tolerated.

Intelligent people can often disagree, but disagreement does not require either insults or rudeness, as intelligent people also recognize that differing viewpoints, while not their own, are still valid for others who may hold them. Respect and honoring others differences shall be the way of our organization!

We, As Masters of this website, shall enforce these simple rules in any way we see fit.

We hope that in no way does this dampen the sharing of information, opinions and thoughts! Thank you and Welcome!
